The purpose of this event is to promote multisport participation in youth, families & individuals and to encourage physical exercise and a healthy lifestyle in a safe, fun & none-competitive atmosphere.
In addition to partnering with local non-profit beneficiaries at each one of our events in which 100% of the donations generated to directly to that beneficiary, we are over the moon excited to announce that we have recently partnered with Girl Power USA! Scoogie Events KIDS ROCK TRIATHLON & DUATHLON will be staged on Saturday, June 14, 2025 to help raise funds for the beautiful Penllyn Club while also providing a fun, non-competitive atmosphere in a safe environment and of course, an awesome post-race atmosphere.
THIS IS ALSO VERY IMPORTANT: EVERY TRIATHLETE & DUATHLETE is responsible to review the course maps below and become familiar with each one BEFORE race day!
Itβs very important that each athlete know exactlyβ¦ HOW MANY LAPS THEY WILL SWIM, HOW MANY OUT & BACKS THEY WILL BIKE, AND WHERE EXACTLY THEY WILL RUN.
Yes, there will certified lifeguards at the pool and PLENTY of very experienced Scoogie Events CREW members out on the course directing the athletes and ensuring the safety of each athlete. BUT each athlete needs to know how many laps they will swim, how many loops they will bike and exactly where they will run! ITβS IMPORTANT!

Course details:
Swim: (for the triathlon) The swim will be held in an outdoor pool with lifeguards.
Transition Area: (for both tri & du) There will be an area for the competitors to put their bikes, shoes, helmets, etc., this area is called βthe transition areaβ. After finishing the swim, (or 1st run for the duathletes) the kids will come into the transition area to put on their biking gear, get their bikes and start the bike portion of the race.
IMPORTANT TRANSITION NOTE: The transition area will be staffed with 10 Scoogie Events Crew members to welcome & encourage your children.
Awards: Note: Age is the childβs age ON RACE DAY. Awards for age groups in both the tri & du: 5-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15.

Parking Note: All parking for this event will be at the Penllyn Club EXCEPT if you must leave before 9:15 am! Note: If you must leave before 9:15 am you will park on Regency Circle and walk a short walk to the club (5-minute walk) LOOK FOR A ROAD SIGN 50 YARDS BEFORE THE ENTRANCE TO THE PENLLYN CLUB TO TURN LEFT ONTO REGENCY CIRLCE FOR EARLY DEPARTURE PARKING! ONCE AGAIN, NO-ONE WILL BE PERMITTED TO LEAVE THE PENLLYN CLUB BEFORE 9:15 AM.

CONGRATS GETTING INTO JUNE 14TH'S KIDS ROCK TRI & DU!
The Scoogie Events CREW is so excited to see all of you in a few weeks!
We're doing our part to make sure that race morning is an AWESOME EXPERIENCE for ALL OF YOU!
We're less than 3 weeks away! You will be emailed a packet pick-up & race day details email on Saturday, June 1st.
But, in the meantime, to make this event an awesome experience for you, there are a few easy things that you can do NOW so that you don't stress and try to do them all last minute.
1. IMPORTANT: Get your gear checked. Get your bike (and helmet) checked out by a local bike shop to make sure they are BOTH in working order! Check out our Scoogie's Bike Check List below!
2. Get out on your bike. Once your bike has been all checked out and it's good to go, get out there (WITH YOUR HELMET ON) and try out your bike. Go to a safe location (with NO CARS) and do some practice rides. (Get your parents to dust off their bikes and get out there with you)
3. Get everything ready way before race day! Check out the helpful hints graphics below.
4. Practice everything! (even practice your transitions)
