Peace Valley Adult Spring Duathlon Distances
~Short course: 2mi run~5.5mi bike~2mi run
~Long course: 5k run~11mi bike~5k run
Peace Valley KIDS ROCK Duathlon Distances
~Ages 6-9: Run 1/2 mile, Bike 1.5 miles, Run 1/2 mile
~Ages 10-12: Run 1/2 mile, Bike 1.5 miles, Run 1/2 mile
~Ages 13-15: Run 1 mile, Bike 3 miles, Run 1 mile

Note: Childβs age is their age on 12/31/2021
ο»ΏAge example:
If a racer is 5 on May 1st, but turns 6 anytime between May 1st and Dec. 31, 2021, they are considered age 6.
They will then complete the 6-9 age category distances.

8:30: Departure for KIDS ROCK DU: ALL KIDS/PARENTS NEED TO LEAVE AT THIS TIME!

We take YOUR SAFETY VERY SERIOUSLY!

JUST LIKE WE SUCCESSFULLY ACCOMPLISHED IN SEPTEMBER, 2020, WE SAFELY ORGANIZED THIS EXACT RACE BY TAKING SPECIAL PROACTIVE
ACTIONS TO DECREASE ALL POSSIBLE RISKS OF PUTTING ANYONE IN AN UNSAFE SITUTATION.
THIS EVENT WILL BE NO DIFFERENT IN THAT WE WILL TAKE EVERY PRECAUTION NECESSARY IN ORDER TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE FROM COVID.
THIS IS OUR PROMISE TO YOU.

HOW SPECIFICALLY WILL WE DO THIS:
1. Separating the events into two separate start times:
~We will be separating this event into two separate start times in order to keep the number of duathletes racing at one time down to safe and state mandated number.
Please see above for start times.
2. Masks:
~We very strongly encourage everyone to please wear your mask while waiting to run, running*, biking* as well as after you finish.
*It is NOT mandatory to wear a mask while running or bikingβ¦only encouraged.
3. Social Distancing:
~We will practice strict social distancing during the entire event.
4. Temperature Taking:
~Everyone entering the venue will be required to get their temperature checked (non-contact, one second infrared thermometer)
5. Water Stations:
~We will make a decision as to whether we will have water stops a bit closer to race day.
For now, please plan on there being no water stations on the run courses.
6. Hand Sanitizers:
~Hand sanitizing stations will be situated throughout the race venue.

~And YES, you can be assured that the POSITIVE VIBES youβve come to expect will be ever present at this event as well!

Keswick Cycles takes the COVID situation as seriously as we do. They have steps in place to ensure everyoneβs safety.
And due to COVID 19, Keswick is quite overwhelmed with repairs and therefore it is ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY that ONLY THE KIDS ROCK DUATHLETES get your bike and helmet checked and approved and get a smiley face approval sticker on both BEFORE RACE DAY!!!!
ADULTS DO NOT NEED TO GET THEIR BIKES OR HELMETS CHECKED.
They WILL NOT be doing race day bike or helmet checks!!!
Additionally, there is a bike boom going on which means that should your bike need repairs, parts take time to get, so PLEASE go to one of the three Keswick Cycles locations WAY before race day!

"Multi person/family discount means that you get $10 off the total registration fees when signing up more than 3 runners for the any of the runs besides the kid's run or walk". The "Multi person/family discount" will be automatically taken off once three runners are registered when registering them all at the same time!
No mailing of awards or shirts. If you have to leave the race early for ANY reason, you must notify us to save your award. If you do not, we cannot hold/store awards and will likely be given to a race day entry or someone else. It is simply too much to hold/store & inventory the awards.
Note: If you are registered for this race and you registered in time to choose a t shirt/1/4 zip size BUT you are unable to run for whatever reason, you will NEED TO CONTACT us BEFORE RACE DAY and let us know if you'd like us to hold on to your reserved giveaway (t shirt or 1/4 zip) for you to pick up at a future Scoogie Event. If you do not do this, we cannot hold your shirt and it will be given to someone that registered after the deadline. We cannot mail shirts.
