Packet Pick-Up Protocol

1. You will NOT get out of your car.

2. Please click on the GPS link below OR follow directions to Peddler's Village and go to the parking lot off of Street Rd and then follow the signs.

3. A Scoogie Events CREW member will come to your car (with a mask on) and retrieve the FIRST & LAST names of everyone that you are picking packets up for. 

You can write the first & last names on a piece of paper and SHOW it out the window of your vehicle to the CREW member.
They will then relay the names to the next station and you will pull up and grab your packets.

HOW WE WILL CREATE A SAFE YET POSITIVE & HAPPY ATMOSPHERE SO THAT EVERYONE FEELS

The Scoogie Events CREW has very successfully produced 4 events in the past few months!
We take YOUR SAFETY VERY SERIOUSLY!

Safety First Packet Pick-up:

~Packet Pick-up will likely be “drive-up style”. (Unless the Covid situation improves by March 12th)
You will not need to get out of your car!
You will receive an email the Monday before the event with details.

Two Day Event:

~We will be separating this event into two separate days in order to keep the number of
runners down to the state mandated 250 TOTAL people per event.

Masks:

~We very strongly encourage everyone to please wear your mask while waiting to run, running*, as well as after the run.
*It is NOT mandatory to wear a mask while running…only encouraged.

Social Distancing:

~We will practice strict social distancing during the entire event.

Temperature Taking:

~Everyone entering the venue will be required to get their temperature checked (non-contact, one second infrared thermometer)

Water Stations:

~We will make a decision as to whether we will have water stops a bit closer to race day.
For now, please plan on there being no water stations on the run courses.

Hand Sanitizers:

~Hand sanitizing stations will be situated throughout the race venue.

Positive Vibes:

~And YES, you can be assured that the POSITIVE VIBES you’ve come to expect will be ever present at this event as well!

~~Scoogie Events MULTI-FAMILY & FRIENDS Program": Save $10 when you register 3 people or more at this event:-) 

"Multi person/family discount means that you get $10 off the total registration fees when signing up 3 or more runners for the any of the runs besides the kid's run or walk". The "Multi person/family discount" will be automatically taken off once three runners are registered when registering them all at the same time!

AWARDS: 
Overall TOP THREE winners (male & female), plus top three males & females in each age category: 
NEW AGE GROUP 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 60-69, 70 & over. No mailing of awards or shirts. 

Again, no mailing of awards or shirts. You MUST pick up your award before you leave.  If you do not, we cannot hold/store awards and it will likely be given to a race day entry or someone else. It is simply too much to hold/store & inventory the awards. 

Note: If you are registered for this race and you registered in time to choose a tech shirt BUT you are unable to run for whatever reason, you will NEED TO CONTACT us BEFORE RACE DAY and let us know if you'd like us to hold on to your reserved shirt for you to pick up at a future Scoogie Event. If you do not do this, we cannot hold your shirt and it will be given to someone that registered after the deadline. We cannot mail shirts!

Packet Pick details will be emailed 5 days before this event.

Runners may pick up their packets on race morning but it is advised that they pick them up at packet pick up the day before to avoid lines on race day.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING WEATHER:
This event is a rain/shine event.
This means that if it rains (and as long as the temperature isn’t low enough to freeze any surfaces), this event IS A GO…even in the rain….”skin is waterproof😀”
In the event that we experience bad weather such as snow or ice or any weather that would cause the course to be unsafe, we will cancel the event.
There will be no refunds due to the fact that at this point all of the expenses for a race of this magnitude have been paid for.
Should COVID gets worse over the weeks/months and we deem it to be unsafe to have this event, we will make the event a VIRTUAL event. There will be no refunds. Your swag (medal & t-shirt) will be able to be picked-up a yet to be determined SWAG pick up.
It’s important to understand that IF we need to cancel this event due to extreme weather, we will not issue any refunds and we will not reschedule the event this year.

NOTE: We do not issue any refunds, transfers or credits for any reason. We have the right to revise or cancel the race due to emergency or weather issue....(but we really hope this doesn't happen:-)
